10 Playful Pendants
Lighting in interiors can completely transform a space’s atmosphere. From moody to playful, lighting can be functional, decorative, give accents or highlight something special. Lighting elevates and illuminates a space and whatever the purpose, it is a super important piece of the jigsaw puzzle and one of the most exciting parts for me.
I am drawn to playful lighting, whether that’s through shape or colour. You could have a relatively neutral interior but if you had a really epic light, it would elevate the whole space, much like an awesome pair of earrings with some trackies.
So below are 10 of my favourites in no particular order:
Dipping pendant light, 2019 - Marset - Diametre: 300mm, Height: 300mm - £535
Love these hand dipped pendants, each in varying tones of paint to give rings of colour. When lit, the layering of paint moderates the light intensity, creating a range of ambient light which is very cool.

Maija pendant light, 1955 - Santa & Cole - Diameter: 150mm x Width: 140mm - £588
This pendant is inspired by the form of a bee hive but it’s also giving me some accordion feels. It has an opaque body, fragmented by plates which filter the inner light.
